What we believe

It is a great pleasure for me to introduce to you Life’s Journey Church of Lebanon, Indiana. We are a Holy Spirit driven church. We are an independent, self-governing church, which means we are not part of a denomination. We believe that God gave the Bible as his written instructions as to how we should live our lives. Therefore, we have adopted God’s written Word as our plumb line or standard by which we live. Where the Bible speaks, plain and simple, we speak plain and simple. Where the Bible is silent, we too are silent. The Bible says it is a sin to add to or take away from God’s Word. We believe to use the term, “therefore that means” is to add to God’s Word. Therefore, we teach what the Bible says, “plain and simple.” Jesus turned his church over to a plurality of Spirit-filled and Spirit-led men. That truth is confirmed three times in Galatians 2: 2 through 9. We believe Jesus did that because he wants to govern his own church through his Holy Spirit dwelling in those men. Therefore, we claim Jesus Christ as our only senior pastor.
